Man Before the Brandenburg Gate: Berlin, Germany
Every time I look at this photograph, I wish that the whole gate were visible. Poor framing on my part, but then again, I don’t think I knew what I was doing back then. Honestly, I still don’t know what I’m doing.
But I do like this photo. I like the contrast in size between the monumental structure and the man standing before it. I even like the way he’s standing. I’ll never know what he was thinking, but to me, his posture suggests awe, pensiveness, remembrance, resolve.
